CALL TO ORDER <br /> 2. ROLL CALL —All present except Mayor Jeff Ira. <br /> Staff Present — City Manager Ingram, City Attorney Thompson, City Clerk <br /> Vonderlinden, Public Works Director Boyd, and Public Works Superintendent <br /> Harang. <br /> 3. Confirm City Manager's declaration of local emergency arising from ruptured <br /> sewer force main at Redwood Shores. (704) <br /> City Manager Ingram introduced Evan Boyd, the new Public Works Director, who was in <br /> the audience. He also thanked Ms. Harang for her hard work during the past weeks <br /> when so much has happened at the lagoon. <br /> Mr. Ingram explained that he is before Council seeking ratification of his call for a local <br /> emergency. This action was taken when a ruptured sewer force main dropped sewage <br /> into a lagoon in Redwood Shores. He added that this item will be placed on future <br /> agendas for oral updates on the situation. <br /> One Council Member inquired about the clean up process and cost. Ms. Harang <br /> provided details explaining that $88,000 was spent in cleaning the lagoon, lab work and <br /> treatment of the water to bring it to safe levels.
