EXHIBIT A PROJECT DESCRIPTION Inspection services for a variety of anticipated projects. These projects will vary in size and scope and will include the following: repair of segments of the water distribution system; repair of sanitary sewer infrastructure, including replacement of mains and pump stations; repair of storm water infrastructure, including replacement of mains and pumps stations; roadway surfacing projects, including slurry seal, cap seal and asphalt concrete overlay projects; and private development projects that include grading, drainage, storm water compliance, concrete and utility improvements. SCOPE OF SERVICES Consultant shall provide the following services: • Understand the project and the City's primary goa(s and objectives. • Effectively communicate with the public and other public stakeholders • Coordinate all project related information with City staff, including providing the City's Project Manager with information, insight and potential solutions as conflicts and problems arise. • Familiarize himself/herselfwith the City's standards and plans, as well as Caltrans standards and plans. • Take digital photos of each stage of construction throughout the duration of a project. • Prepare and distribute written daily inspection reports via e-mail and/or hardcopy. Daily field reports shall be detailed and contain all pertinent information, including labar equipment (including idles), item of work and its description, any contract change order work and accurate hours associated with it and daily quantity measurements. • Oversee special testing and inspection work as required. • Report instances of apparent non-compliance to the City's Project Manager for resolution. • Verify prevailing wages, payroll information and handle other labor compliance items when requested by the City. • Measure and agree upon quantities on a daily basis, and verify and approve progress payments. • Deliver nd submittals to the City's Project Manager. • Prepare as-built record drawings. • Prepare punch lists and conduct final inspections. PAYMENT TERMS CSG Consultants, Inc. will charge the rate of$1 l0/hour for as-needed inspection, not to exceed Sixty Thousand and 00/]00 Dollars ($60,000.00).
