Redwood City. April 15th., 1912, 6'o'clock
<br />The regular meeting of the Board of Town Trustees was held.
<br />Upon roll call there were present, Trustees, ]x e. Ceo.A.Merrill Carl Beeger,
<br />Robert Brown s:C.J.Hynding, E.H.8ampson and:Town Clerk, G.C.Plump.
<br />The minutes of the meeting held April 8th., were read, and ueom motion of
<br />Trustee Hynding seconded by Trustee Beeger, and carried, the same swere approved.
<br />REPORTS;
<br />The monthly report f the Clerk: Marshall, Treasurer, Supt,
<br />Engineer, Poundmastep and also reports of Supt. of Streets and Meenanil Engineer on the
<br />amount of stock, materials, machinery and toole on hand at the Corporation yard were
<br />ori motion of Trustee, Ilynding seconded by trustee Sampson and carried, received and filed.
<br />The matter of excess water bill for the Del Monte Hotel was on motion of Trustee
<br />Sampson, seconded by Trustee Beeger and carried, referred to Mr.Werder with instructions
<br />to test the meter.
<br />A communication from the San Mateo County Development Association, requesting the
<br />appointment of a representative on the Board, was, on motioe of Trustee Sampson, seconded
<br />by Trustee Hynding, and carried, received and filed.
<br />A complaint from Martin KUck of discrimination in the matter of water meter reading
<br />was, on motion of Trustee Hynding, seconded by Trustee Brown and carried, referred to the
<br />comrittee on Vublic Utilities, pending the introduction of a new water Ordinance.
<br />A communication from Geo.W.Lovie complaining that the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
<br />if
<br />Co.discriminate in rental rates for the telephone under similar conditions and askingthe
<br />Board had jurisdiction in the matter of rates in the City liMits was referred to the 4ogiN1“
<br />committee on Public Utilities and the Telephone Company be requested to Keep in force the old
<br />ratee, pending the report of the committee on, Public Utilities who are to confer with the
<br />Telephone Company, isotion introduced by Trustee hynding, seeonded by Trustee Beeger and,
<br />earrled.
<br />The following communication from Edward F.Fitzpatrick was presented.

<br />To the Honorable Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City, in. the State
<br />of California, and to G.C.Plump, Esq. Clerk of said. Town of Redwood City, and Clerk of
<br />said Board of Trustees:
<br />Please be advised that the undersignedhereby accepts the franchise
<br />recently sold to him bY the Board of Trustees of said. Town of Redwood City, and in covering
<br />the construction andoperation of a railroad in ove r and along the streets and avenues of
<br />said. Towi of Redwood City.
<br />The undersigned accepts the said franchise sold to him by said Board of Trustees
<br />at its meeting held on April 1st., 1912 and aocepts the conditions imposed by the ordinance
<br />passed and. adopted by said Board of Trustees at said meeting covering said subject natter.

<br />A motion introduced by Trustee Hynding that the conmlunication from Edward. F.}itzpatriC-
<br />be received and filed, was seconded by Trustee Sampson and carried-
<br />Ili:echanlcal Engineer Werder was directed to test the water rneter in /ne Wooll
<br />Building, en motion of Trustee Hynding seconded by Trustee Sampson and carried.

<br />iir.A.Kincaid, Attorney for DistrictATmprovement Club addressed the Boare,
<br />requesting the Board to commence initial proceedings or preliminary resolution under
<br />Act 1911. Mr.Kincaid was requested to present to the Board the names Of streets
<br />proposed to be macadamized.
