6.4.E. - Page 3
agreement requires the project manager to notify the City when reaching the authorized
limit.
If a DDA is not approved by the City Council, no further project management services
would be required and no additional funds would be expended or required. Staff
anticipates both the revenue from the developer and the appropriation to the Agreement
will be included with a mid-year Budget Adjustment.
The Culvert Relocation Project anticipates the sale of Block 2 for development. A
portion of the sales price will be re-budgeted to the Capital Budget to cover the total
costs of that Project. Staff anticipates that this action could be part of the FY 2013-14
Budget adoption process.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council could choose to not award the agreement and direct staff to manage the
construction and development projects in another manner.
FISCAL IMPACT
Costs for this service are covered by funds provided by the Block 2 developer through a
Reimbursement Agreement and through the sale of Block 2 to the developer, Hunter
Storm. A FY 2012/13 budget amendment is necessary to establish the project and a
funding source for project-related charges. Staff recommends that the City Council
adopt a resolution amending the FY 2012/13 Capital Projects Fund budget by
establishing an appropriation in the amount of $30,000 that will be funded by a
contribution from the developer.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
Approval of this Agreement is not a "project" subject to CEQA.
G
BILL EKERN
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

ROBERT B.
