09/10/2012 <br /> 23.2; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wished to establish a salary schedule for an in-house <br /> contract attorney who has a significant level of experience and would be comparable to <br /> a Senior Assistant City Attorney, but which classification is defunct. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby approves the <br /> establishment of an in-house contract attorney in the Department of the City Attorney to <br /> be appointed as needed within budget constraints to perform work in order to prevent <br /> stoppage of public business or because an attorney with specialized skills is needed to <br /> perform work of a limited duration. Such appointments shall be temporary and of a <br /> limited duration. <br /> 2. The salary schedule shall be with reference to an established salary <br /> schedule for comparable duties and qualifications. <br /> 3.
