Contractor shall immediately notify the City's Police Department and designated City contact <br /> of any Signal Turn-off or Signal on Flash necessitated by their operations in excess of fifteen <br /> (15)minutes. <br /> TASK 2—STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR <br /> 1- All labar, tools, equipment, materials necessary to properly maintain the Street Lights owned by the <br /> City. <br /> 2- Regular Service(normal business hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm)per light <br /> a. Any service requests <br /> b. Any call outs <br /> 3- Emergency Work(after normal business hours,weekends,holidays) <br /> a. Any service requests <br /> b. Any call outs <br /> 4- Monthly Night Surveys of street lights in non-residential, commercial areas, mixed use areas, and <br /> other arterials in the City. All damaged street lights discovered during the Night Surveys will be <br /> logged by the Contractor and scheduled for repair. Contractor will notify City of Night Survey <br /> results. <br /> TASK 3—UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT(USA) <br /> 1- All labor, tools, equipment, materials necessary to properly perform Underground Service Alert <br /> (USA)in the City. <br /> 2- All USA should be scheduled as Regular Service(normal business hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm). <br /> 3- If required, USA will be performed as part of Emergency Work (after normal business hours, <br /> weekends, and holidays). <br /> TASK 4—DECORATIVE TREE LIGHTS <br /> 1- Lights and related components such as attachments and electric cords shall be limited to those that <br /> blend in with the color of the tree bark and branches. The use of orange or red cords or attachments is <br /> not allowed. <br /> 2- Installation and maintenance of seasonal lights shall be done in a manner that does not harm the trees. <br /> 3- When installing, replacing and maintaining lights, the strands shall be attached to the trunk and <br /> branches using stretchable nursery or grow tape. Lights may also be affixed with tree ties so long as <br /> there is one half inch to three quarters inch gap between the tie and the trunk or branch to allow <br /> adequate room for seasonal growth. All material used for attaching lights shall first be approved by <br /> the City. Examples of approved light attachments include "Prolock 'h" poly chain lock, plant tie <br /> ribbon or nursery grafting tape. <br /> 4- Wrapping the light strings around the trunk and branches is acceptable only under the condition that <br /> the strands are wrapped to ensure there is no girdling or potential damage to the tree at any time. <br /> Adequate space shall be left between the branch and the strand to allow for branch sway during <br /> normal, anticipated wind. <br /> 5- Inspections and necessary repairs to be made on a monthly basis of all decorative tree lights. Light <br /> strings found to not be working shall be replaced immediately.
