City may a�dit the recards and <br /> accounts of Cantractar for the purpose of verifyiRg expenditures by Contractor of <br /> funds provided by City pursuant to this Agreement or verifying statements or <br /> analyses made or pravid�d by Contractor under this Agreem�nt. Contractor will <br /> promptly respo�d tn, and comply with, any audit exception macle or taken by City <br /> or appropriate federal agencies relating to Contractor's perfa�mance ar fail�re ta <br /> perform under this Agreement. Cantractor will, upon demand by City, pay City <br /> the full amount owing to City or to the United States Government as a result af <br /> any such audit exception. <br /> City will monitor Contractor's Project and expenditures made pursuant to <br /> this Agreement quarterly ta verify Cantractor's compliance with this Agreement <br /> and local and federal cantrac# r�quirements. Contractor shall cooperate with City <br /> and provide aJl documents and information requestecf �y City in a timely and <br /> accurate fashion. <br /> 9. RECORD R�T�NTION. Contractor shall retain alf financial, <br /> supporting documents, statistical records, and afl ather recards pertinent to the <br /> Agreement far a periad of faur (4) years. The retention periad begins on the date <br /> of the submission of the City's Comprehensi�e Annual Performance & Evaluation <br /> Report (CAPER) to HUD in which the activities assisted under the Agreernent are <br /> reported on for the final time. Nfltwithstanding the above, if there is Eitigatinn, <br /> claims, audits, negotiatians or ath�r actions that involve any of the records cited, <br /> ar�d that have started before the expiratfon of the four-year period, then such <br /> recards must be retained untif completion of the actions and resolution of all <br /> issues, or the expiration of the four year period, whichever occurs later. <br /> 10. ACCESS TO RECORDS.
