City may aud�t t�e records and <br /> accounts of Cantractar for the purpose of verifying expenditures by Contractor af <br /> funds provided by City pursuant ta this Agreement or verifying statements ar <br /> analyses made ar pro�ided by Contractor under this Agreement. Contractor will <br /> promptly respond to, and comply with, any audi# �xception made ar taken by City <br /> or apprapriate federal agencies relating to Contractor's performance or failure ta <br /> perform under t�is Agreement. Contractor will, upon demand by City, pay City <br /> the full amount owing to City or to the United States Government as a result of <br /> any such audit exception. <br /> Ci#y will �nanitor Contractor's Project ana expenditures made pursuant to <br /> this Agre�m�nt quarterly to verify Contractor's campliance witF� this Agre�ment <br /> and local and federal contract �equirements. Contractnr shail cooperate with City <br /> and provide all documents and informatian requested by City in a time�y and <br /> accurate fashian. <br /> 9. R�CORD RETENTION. Contractor shall retain al! fiinancial, <br /> supporting documents, statistical recards, and all other recards pertirtent to the <br /> Agreement for a period Of four (4) years. The retention period begins an th� dake <br /> of the subm�ssion of the Ci#y's Camprehensive Annual Performance & Evaluation <br /> Report (CAP�R) to HUD in which the acti�ities assisted under the Agreement are <br /> reported on far tha final time. No#withstanding the above, if there is litigation, <br /> claims, audits, negotiations or other actions that invol�e any of the records cited, <br /> and that have started before the expiration of the four-year period, then such <br /> records musf be retainecf until completion of the actions and resofution of afl <br /> issues, or the expiration of the four year period, which�v�r occurs iater. <br /> 10. ACCESS TO RECORDS.
