i <br /> 13. SECTION 3 OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1986. Contractor <br /> hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section 3, the regulations set forth in 24 CFR <br /> (Code of Federal Regulations) part 135 and all applicable rules and orders of the U.S. Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development; and that it will, to the greatest extent feasibie, make available <br /> opportunities for training and employment under this contract to lower income residents of Redwood City. <br /> 14. NONDISCRIMINATION IN THE PROVISION OF SERVICES <br /> A. Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section 504 of the <br /> Rehabi►itation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) providing equal <br /> access and reasonabie accommodations in employment programs and services to persons <br /> who are disabled. <br /> B. Contractor hereby agrees that in the provision of services and program activities, it will <br /> comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations prohibiting <br /> discrimination and harassment. <br /> 15. INTEREST OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. No members, o�cers, or employees or agents of the <br /> City of Redwood City, no member of the City Council and no other public official who exercises any <br /> function or responsibility with respect to this agreement or Contractor's Program during his or her tenure, <br /> or for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or a related <br /> subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. Contractor shall incorporate in all subcontracts hereunder a <br /> provision prohibiting such interest. <br /> 16. LOBBYING PROHIBITING. Funds provided under this agreement shall not be used by <br /> Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to support or defeat legislation pending before <br /> federal, state, or local government. <br /> 17. RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED.
