a. To provide a forum wherein representatives of partner entities can <br /> work together and with members of the private sector, business and the <br /> community at large to improve the quality of life in Redwood City for children, <br /> youth and families. <br /> b. To provide oversight and support to ongoing collaborative efforts <br /> and programs that are working toward Redwood City 2020's agreed upon <br /> outcomes (Community Schools in Redwood City School District, the Sequoia <br /> Teen Resource Center and Wellness Center, the Community Youth <br /> Development Initiative, and the Immigrant Integration Initiative) <br /> 2. Term. This agreement shall be effective from July 1, 2012 until <br /> June 30, 2014. <br /> 3. Structure of Redwood City 2J20. <br /> a. Coordinating Council. The Redwood City 2020 Coordinating <br /> Council is composed of up to finro representatives from each of the collaborative <br /> partner's governing boards. <br /> b. Cabinet. The Redwood City 2020 Cabinet is composed of one <br /> executive leader from each of the partner institutions — the City, County, <br /> Elementary School District, High School District, Kaiser Permanente, the John <br /> W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities, and the Sequoia <br /> Healthcare District. <br /> c. The Coordinating Council and the Cabinet follow the structure <br /> described in Exhibit A (Governance Structure), which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> 4. Redwood Citv 2020 Staff. It is understood that Redwood City 2020 will require <br /> the services of an Executive Director and related support staff for its day- to-day <br /> operations. The Cabinet has designated the City of Redwood City to contract for the <br /> Executive Director, Administrative Secretary and necessary staff positions on behalf of <br /> RC 2020. The City serves as the fiscal agent for the employees and related expenses. <br /> 5. Fundinq. Each of the Parties shall contribute at least twenty-five thousand <br /> dollars ($25,000) annually to support the work of Redwood City 2020. The San Mateo <br /> County Health System acknowledges that they will make a twenty five thousand dollar <br /> ($25,000) contribution for Fiscal Year 2012-13 and Fiscal Year 2013-14 for a maximum <br /> amount of fifty thousand dollar ($50,000) for this Membership Agreement. Redwood City <br /> 2020 will invoice the San Mateo County Health System $25,000 upon execution of this <br /> agreement, and then another $25,000 in July, 2013. <br /> a. As Fiscal Agent, the City is authorized to receive money on behalf <br /> of Redwood City 2020 and deposit same into a special deposit account in the <br /> Atty/Agr/RC2020 Master Agreement <br /> 040104 smc edits 030712 2 <br />
