6.1.E. - Page 10 <br /> LICENSE AGREEMENT BETW�EN THE C[TY OF REDWOOD C1TY <br /> AND <br /> THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is entered into as of <br /> , 20�2 (the "Effective �ate"), by and between THE CfTY QF <br /> REDWOOD C1TY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the 5tat� of California <br /> ("CITY"), and THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a pofitical s�bdivision of the State of <br /> California {"COUNTY"}. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. CITY owns cer#ain undeveloped rea! property adjacent to Maple Street in <br /> Redwood City, Caiifor�ia, as shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereta and <br /> incorporated h�rein by reference ("License Area"). <br /> B, COUNTY owns proper�y on C�emicaE Way immedia#ely adjacent to th� License <br /> Ar�a ("County Property") and in#ends to construct a County jail facility ("County <br /> Jail Project") thereon. <br /> C. C�UNTY is in ti�e design stage of ifis County Jail �'raject, and desires ta use the <br /> License Area far �ehicle parking purposes in connection with the Counfy Jail <br /> Project. <br /> D. in consideratiort for the use of tf�e License Area, COUNTY will collaborate with <br /> CITY on the de�efapment of a comprehensi�e parking program benefitting the <br /> County Jaif Project and the Reclwood City Po[ice facility located across the street. <br /> E. CfTY has determir�ed that this use pro�ides a comman benefit by enabling <br /> devefapment of better im�ro�ements on the County Property, and reducing the <br /> impacts of parking on the surrounding public streets. <br /> F. CITY is willing to pro�ide to COUNTY a license to use tF�e Licer�se Area for <br /> parking purposes in connection wit� the County �fail Project, all on the t�rms set <br /> for�h herein. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as �follows <br /> AGRE�MENT <br /> 1. License. For gaod and valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby <br /> acknowledged, starting an January 1, 2013 (the "Commencement Da#e"), CITY confers <br /> to COUNTY a re�ocable, personal, nn�-exclusive and non-passessory pri�ilege to enfer <br /> upon and use the License Area far the limited purposa and subject to the terms, <br /> canditions and res#rictior�s set forth below.
