The property is owned by the
City and developed as an affordable housing project.
ANALYSIS
The rehabilitation work for 1306 Main Street Apartments is complete and in compliance
with the bid documents and building code. There were three change orders issued for
$16,480, bringing the total contract amount to $443,295; the contract was extended for
12 work days due to these changes. The changes included replacing 22 interior doors
with fire-rated doors and repairing unforeseen dry rot in 12 of the units. This represents
3.86% of the original contract award amount.
ALTERNATIVES
Council may choose not to accept the project, or authorize the release of bonds and
retention which would be contrary to the terms of the contract and prior Council action.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
Acceptance of the construction work is not a Project under CEQA.
1/'
/
BRIAN LEE
SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
