RESOLUTION NO. 072759 <br /> BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> * * * * * * <br /> RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS PROCESS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY TO PROVIDE ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG PREVENTION <br /> SERVICES, EXTENDING THE TERM THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2013, <br /> INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $75,000 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br /> $225,000 <br /> RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of <br /> California, that <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance Code Section 2.83.170 authorizes the Board of <br /> Supervisors to waive the Request for Proposals process in any situation where the <br /> Board of Supervisors determines that the best interest of the County could be served <br /> without the necessity of proposals; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Board has been asked to waive the Request for Proposals <br /> process in order to contract with City of Redwood City for the provision of alcohol and <br /> other drug prevention services; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the <br /> County to waive the Request for Proposals process; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 28, 2012, this Board approved an agreement with the <br /> City of Redwood City for the provision of alcohol and other drug prevention services for <br /> the term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, for a maximum obligation of$150,000; <br /> and <br />
