Draeger (incumbent) <br /> • Billy James <br /> • Kay Whiting Watanabe <br /> Due to the fact that the Senior Affairs Commission has more vacancies than <br /> applicants, the Council may: 1) reconsider the two applications that were <br /> submitted but not selected for interview, 2) interview the one applicant who <br /> selected the Senior Affairs Commission as her second choice, 3) begin a new <br /> recruitment, and/or 4) not fill all seats. <br /> The Council unanimously appointed the three incumbents and Mr. Billy <br /> James(Bain, Foust, Ira and Pierce) for the longer seats. Ms. Watanabe <br /> received finro votes from Gee and Aguirre. <br /> Council by consensus appointed Ms. Watanabe the shorter seat. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 12-104 <br /> Council consensus was to have staff contact applicants that were <br /> interviewed but not appointed and see if they would consider applying for <br /> other BCC seats. Staff is also to recruit again for these unfilled vacancies. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 12-105 <br /> C. General Plan Annual Report. (601) <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Accept the Redwood City General Plan 2011 Annual Report and direct staff <br /> to forward the document to the State of California Department of Housing <br /> and Community Development and the Governor's Office of Planning and <br /> Research. MINUTE ORDER 12-106 <br /> Blake Lyon, Acting Planning Manager, presented the report and explained that there <br /> was an award ceremony where Jill Ekas and Tom Passanisi were present. He shared <br /> the plan is not complete and there is a 24-page table that is not totally filled in because <br /> this is a 15-year plan which will be filled out in subsequent years. <br /> One Council Member was very pleased with the report. Mayor Aguirre thanked all staff <br /> for the work and she values it and is very appreciative of it. <br /> M/S Gee/Seybert to accept the recommendation. Motion carried 7-0 by electronic <br /> vote. <br /> Council Member Ira left the dais due to a potential conflict of interest. <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> A.
