IC-' <br />- <br /> January 12, 2004 <br /> Subject <br /> Final Acceptance - Repairs to Elevator - Fire Station NO.9 <br /> Recommendation <br /> Accept the improvements for the Repairs to Elevator - Fire Station #9, and authorize <br /> the release of retention and bonds to San Francisco Elevator of San Francisco, <br /> California. <br /> Background <br /> On May 19, 2003 City Council awarded the contract in the amount of $52,022.00 to San <br /> Francisco Elevator of San Francisco, California for the Fire Station NO.9 Elevator <br /> Repairs Project. <br /> The elevator in Fire Station #9 unexpectedly failed and was in need of repair. Staff <br /> contacted several elevator contractors to determine the cause of failure, and it was <br />- determined that the hydraulic cylinder in the bottom of the elevator pit was leaking and <br /> needed to be replaced.
