ROBERTI-Z'BERG-HARRIS BLOCK GnA~~T PROGRAM UNDER. THE <br /> CALlFORNIA,CLEAN-.WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD - <br /> PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 ' <br /> WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Califomia <br /> Clean Water. Clean Air. Safe Neighborhood Parks. and Coastal Protection Act of 2002 <br /> which provides funds for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris Block Grant Program (the "Grant <br /> Program"). and <br /> WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation (the <br /> "Department") has been delegated with the responsibility of administrating the Grant <br /> Program within the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Grant Program procedures established by the Department <br /> require the governing body of a Grant Program applicant to certify. by resolution. the <br /> approval of the filing of an application for the Grant Program allocation; and <br /> WHEREAS. if awarded a Grant Program allocation. the City will enter into a <br /> - <br /> contract with the State of California for a specific project that is to be funded by the <br /> grant; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Redwood City desires to participate in <br /> the Grant Program and apply for a Grant Program allocation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the Roberti- <br /> Z'Berg-Harris Block Grant Program under the California Clean Water, Clean Air, <br /> Safe Neighborhood Parks and Coastal Protection Act of 2002 is hereby <br /> approved. <br /> 2. That the City certifies that it has or will have sufficient funds to operate and <br /> maintain any specific project that is to be funded by the Grant Program. <br /> 3. That the City certifies that it has reviewed. understands, and agrees to the <br /> general provisions contained in the contract shown in the Procedural Guide. a <br /> - copy of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. <br /> Atty/Reso/Reso.1446 <br /> 010204 <br />
