- � � . <br /> { _. <br /> WHEREAS, by reason of the aforesaid conveyances of said <br /> property to the State of California, there has occurred a deficiency <br /> resulting from the exemption of said properties from said District <br /> taxes as set forth in Ordinance No. 1577 in the total amount of <br /> Forty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-nine and 71/100 Dollars <br /> ($47, 269 . 71) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said Ordi�ance No. 1577, <br /> the total sum of Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Four and 29/100 Dollars <br /> ($9, 704. 29) of the full amount deposited pursuant to said ordinance <br /> is not required for the purposes set forth therein, and, pursuant <br /> to the provisions of said ordinance, said amount of Nine Thousand <br /> Seven Hundred Four and 29/100 Dollars ($9, 704.29) is payable from <br /> the City to Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Limited for and on behalf <br /> of itself and for and on behalf of Mobil Oil Estates (Bair Island <br /> Investments) Limited; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. That the foregoing recitals are, and the same are hereby <br /> found to be, true. <br /> 2 . That the City Controller is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to refund and return to Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Limited, on <br /> account for itself and on account for Mobil Oil Estates (Bair <br /> Island Investments) Limited, the sum of Nine Thousand Seven Hundred <br /> Four and 29/100 Dollars ($9,704. 29) in accordance with the provisions <br /> of Ordinance No. 1577, adopted September 11, 1973, by this Council, <br /> and the City Treasurer is hereby ordered forthwith to refund and <br /> return to the above mentioned claimant said sum as the total refund <br /> payable by reason of the cancellation of the above mentioned taxes. <br /> * * * <br /> -2- <br /> I <br />
