5.2.4 Government Liaison <br /> Company shall designate in writing a "Government Liaison" who shall be <br /> responsible for working with the Manager and/or the Manager's designated <br /> representative(s) to resolve customer complaints. <br /> <br />5 5.3 Education and Public Awareness <br />6 5.3.1 General <br />7 Company acknowledges and agrees that education and public awareness are <br />8 critical, key, and essential elements of any efforts to achieve AB 939 <br />9 requirements. Accordingly, Company agrees to take direction from Agency to <br />10 explore opportunities to expand public and customer knowledge concerning <br />1l needs and methods to reduce, reuse, and recycle Solid Waste, and to cooperate <br />12 fully with Agency in this regard. Company's public education plan is included as <br />13 part of Company's Proposal (Exhibits 1, 2 and 3). <br />14 Company shall perform all of the public education activities related to the <br />15 transition to new services, as described in Company's Proposal (Exhibits 1, 2 and <br />16 3). These education activities shall include, but not be limited to: mailings prior <br />17 to the start of service, flyers handed out with label delivery, follow-up mailings <br />18 or hand-outs related to the new services, commercial advertising, and annual <br />19 Environmental Day schedules. <br /> <br />20 5.3.2 Content Approval <br />21 Company shall make available to Agency, and Agency shall approve prior to <br />22 their use, all public educational materials used by Company. At a minimum, <br />23 Company materials will define Green Waste, explain the difference between <br />24 Recyclable Materials generally and Green Waste specifically, explain how to <br />25 prepare Green Waste for Collection, and explain how, where, and when to set <br />26 out Green Waste Containers for Collection. <br />27 All public educational materials shall be printed on or manufactured from <br />28 recycled materials whenever possible. Company's primary educational materials <br />29 shall be available in English and Spanish. Company may produce materials in <br />30 additional languages for which there is a demand. <br /> <br />31 5.3.3 Community Events <br />32 At the direction of Agency, Company shall participate in and promote Green <br />33 Waste diversion techniques at community events and local activities.
