Includes a 10 year use license for the City and County. <br /> Aug. 29, 2000 Amendment regarding CDBG program requirements for compliance and <br /> funds administration for the Taft and Garfield fields <br /> Agreement between RCSD and the Redwood City Police Activities <br /> June 26, 2002 League regarding the construction, lease, and maintenance of the PAL <br /> building <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> The Redwood City School District and the City of Redwood City launched a Joint Use <br /> Initiative (JUI) to formalize joint use practices. A component of Redwood City 2020's <br /> Wellness Initiative, the JUI was launched with funding from a $33,000 Community <br /> Access to School Facilities Mini-grant from two California Department of Public Health <br /> programs, California Project LEAN and Safe and Active Communities. Through this <br /> work, the School Board has approved a district-wide Joint Use of Facilities policy and <br /> associated Administrative Regulations. The JU Interagency team has also agreed to a <br /> common Joint Use of Facilities contract based on sample contracts from the National <br /> Childhood Policy & Legal Analysis Network to Prevent Childhood Obesity (NPLAN) and <br /> similar to the sample contract in the Playing Smart Joint Use Toolkit. <br /> After careful review by both the County Counsel (District Attorney) and the City <br /> Attorney, the Joint Use Agreement was developed and includes site-specific <br /> attachments for the six school sites with greatest joint use of facilities. <br />
