12/03/2012 <br /> RECORDING REQUESTED BY <br /> AND WHEN RECOR�ED MAIL TO: <br /> City of Redwood Gity <br /> 1017 Middlefield Road <br /> Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> Attn: City Clerk Department <br /> CONTRACT BETIIVEEN REDWOOD ClTY AND GEORGE LEE FOR <br /> HISTORIC PROPERTY PRESERVATION OF 7261728 BREWSTER AVENUE <br /> THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this day of , 2012, by <br /> and between the CITY OF REDWOOO ClTY, a charter city and municipal corporation of <br /> the State of California, hereinafter called (°City"), and George Lee, hereinafter called <br /> ("Owner"}; <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, California Gavernment Code Sections 50280, et. seq. authorize <br /> cities to ente�- into contracts with the owners of qualified historical property to provide far <br /> the use, maintenance and restoration of such historicai property so to retain its <br /> characteristics as property of historical significance; and <br /> WHEREAS, Owner possesses fee title in and to that certain real property, <br /> together with associated structures and improvements therean and generally located at <br /> 726/728 Brewster Avenue, Redwood City, California 94063 {hereinafter such property <br /> shall be referred to as the "Historic Property"}. A legai description of the Histnric <br /> Property is attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A," and is incorporated herein by this <br /> reference; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 24, 2006, the City Counci! of the City of Redwood City by <br /> Resolution No. 14723 declared and designated the Historic Property as a historic <br /> landmark pursuant to the terms and provisions of Chapter 40, Historic Preservation af <br /> the Redwood City Municipal Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, City and Owner, for their mutual benefit, now desire to enter into this <br /> Contract bo�h to pratect and preserve the characteristics of histarical significance o#the <br /> Historic Proper#y and to qualify the Historic Property for an assessment of valuation <br /> pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3, of Part 2, of Division 1 of the California <br /> Revenue and Taxation Gode. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, CITY AND OWNER, in consideration af the mu#ual <br /> covenants and conditions set forth herein, do hereby agree as fallows: <br /> AT"I'Y/AGR/2012.185/726/728 BREWSTER MILLS ACT CONTRACT <br /> REV:11-35-12 VR <br /> Page 1 of 10 <br /> RESO. # 15236 <br /> MUFF#612 <br />
