. <br /> � , • ' • <br /> � <br /> EXHIBIT"A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> I. What the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL)will provide: <br /> A. After schooi sports and youth programs: Provide year-round sports <br /> programs for 2"d through 8�' grades in the Redwood City School district. <br /> Through collaboration with other organizations provide an after school <br /> education and recreation program. <br /> B. Toy drive: Coordinate an annual holiday toy drive in collaboration with the <br /> Redwood City Police and Fire Departments to provide for the donation <br /> and delivery of toys and books to disadvantaged youth in the community. <br /> C. Annual report: PAL will provide an annual report describing how <br /> Redwood City residents and youth were served by these programs. PAL <br /> will work with the Redwood City Chief of Police and/or designee on a <br /> regular basis to discuss the quality and/or level of services provided. <br /> II. What the City of Redwood City will provide: <br /> A. Funding in the total amount of$160,000 to support after school sports and <br /> youth programs for Fiscal Years 2012/2013 and 2013/2014. <br /> III. Agreement by both parties, in concept: <br /> Both PAL and the City recognize that this is a program that will need to be <br /> reviewed annually to evaluate its effectiveness. Changes may be made if <br /> warranted by the City and/or community needs.
