Exhibit "A" <br /> Contract Employee <br /> "Redwood City 2000 Coordinator" <br /> <br />The Position: <br /> <br />Under the direction of the Executive Committee of the Redwood City 2000 Coordinating <br />Committee, the Redwood City 2000 Coordinator (Coordinator) will support the work of the <br />Partnership to 1.) Coordinate a healthy community strategic plan and 2.) Provide oversight and <br />coordination of existing interagency collaboratives including, but not limited to, efforts which <br />promote: 1.) school linked health and human services, 2.) substance abuse prevention, 3,) <br />violence prevention, 4.) teen pregnancy prevention and 5.) school business partnerships. <br /> <br />Specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following: <br />Administration <br />· Convene monthly meetings of the Redwood City 2000 Partnership, (Executive and <br /> Coordinating Committees) including: all meeting arrangements, agenda development, meeting <br /> minutes and supportive materials. <br />· Establish mechanism for regular communications with funders as to the status of the <br /> Partnership's progress to at a minimum include the publication of a monthly newsletter, <br /> "Milestones", and annual report and presentation to the respective governing boards. <br />· Coordinate interagency collaborative grant applications. <br />· Monitor grant funding and expenses. <br /> <br />Support Existing Collaboratives <br />· Coordinate the interaction between existing collaboratives and the Redwood City Partnership. <br />· Regularly attend steering committees of existing collaboratives and provide technical assistance <br /> when appropriate. <br />· Assist collabortives with resource development, linkages with other community groups, <br /> program development and implementation, community mobilization strategies, and <br /> identification of professional development opportunities. <br /> <br />Community Vision / Strategic Planning <br />· Ensure the successful implementation of the strategic planning workplan developed by <br /> Redwood City 2000. <br />· Convene monthly meetings of the Redwood City 2000 Community Action Team including all <br /> meetings arrangement, agenda development, meeting minutes, phone calls, mailings and <br /> supporting materials. <br />· Together with the Redwood City 2000 Partnership pull together into a usable format existing <br /> studies that provide baseline data from which a community vision can be established. <br />· Provide a clearinghouse of information and resources to support the planning process. <br />· Develop a Community Quality of Life Index based on indicators and priorities identified by the <br /> community. <br /> <br />Community Mobilization <br />· Coordinate a variety of community meetings, and focus groups to inform the community about <br /> existing initiatives; encourage participation in these programs; give information as to the current <br /> status of the quality of life in Redwood City and allows the community to establish priorities <br /> for action. <br />· Encourage broadbased community participation in present and future projects and develop <br /> appropriate recognition for volunteers. <br /> <br /> <br />
