Redwood City Recycled Water Use Ordinance <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1. Introduce an Ordinance Adding Chapter 38, Article VII to the Redwood City <br /> Code — the Recycled Water use Ordinance. (802) Minute Order 08-078 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, ADDING ARTICLE <br /> VII TO CHAPTER 38 OF THE CITY CODE REGARDING RECYCLED WATER USE (First <br /> reading May 12, 2008) <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution that establishes a Recycled Water Service Area Map in <br /> connection with the City's Ordinance regarding recycled water use. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 14863 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> ADOPTING THE RECYCLED WATER SERVICE AREA MAP IN CONNECTION WITH THE <br /> CITY'S ORDINANCE REGARDING RECYCLED WATER USE <br /> Justin Ezell, Public Works Services Superintendent, presented the report with <br /> background on water issues (presentation on file). He provided details on the <br /> comments received to date regarding the ordinance. One gray area which <br /> was determined was the definition of town homes within the Ordinance. <br /> Council clarified the definition of a town home as an attached unit with no <br /> units attached above or below. <br /> Mayor Foust opened the public hearing. She acknowledged receipt of a <br /> communication by Ms. Christina Lai. <br /> Mr. Chris Wuthman, said he is in the real estate community and did <br /> participate in the meeting in early March but had not kept up with hearings. <br /> He stated people would be willing to pay more for sustainability, and his <br /> comment is one of. He gave an example of a plumbing contractor doing dual <br /> plumbing and how the CA plumbing Code does not permit dual plumbing.
