2/9/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14572 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN <br />APPLICATION FOR THE FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER <br />INFORMATION AND REFERRAL PROGRAM TO THE SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY OFFICE OF HOUSING FOR CDBG FUNDING FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2004 -2005 IN THE SUM OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />AND DESIGNATING TERI CHIN, HUMAN SERVICES MANAGER AS <br />THE CONTACT PERSON <br />WHEREAS, from its inception, the Fair Oaks Community center <br />Information and Referral program has been funded, in part, through a contract <br />with the San Mateo County Human Services Office of Housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency has encouraged the City of <br />Redwood City to apply for funding through the San Mateo County Office of <br />Housing for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for services <br />provided to unincorporated North Fair Oaks residents through the Fair Oaks <br />Community Center Information and Referral Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has again submitted an application for Fifteen <br />Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) for San Mateo County CDBG funds for the Fair <br />Oaks Community Center Information and Referral Program; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has been informed that said application must be <br />accompanied by a resolution from the City Council authorizing that said <br />application must be accompanied by a resolution from the City Council <br />authorizing submission of said application and designating a contact person. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY: <br />1. Authorize the submission of its application for Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15,000.00) for San Mateo County CDBG funds for the Fair Oaks <br />Community Center Information and Referral Program. <br />2.
