City Council Member Report of Conferences Attended <br /> Council Member Bain reported on attending the Silicon Valley Leadership group public <br /> policy discussion and the Governor was present. <br /> Council Member Pierce referred to the agenda item 6.1 D, 2012/2013 After School <br /> programs, and said that the website and the information on the staff report shows that <br /> things are changing and improving. She believes the item on the Consent Calendar is a <br /> great example of building relationships and partnerships. <br /> Mayor Aguirre acknowledged the report with the Agenda packet. <br /> B. City Council Committee Reports <br /> C. City Manager (Oral) Update — Dr. Bell noted that the Downtown Holidays <br /> is coming up on December 1, 2012. <br /> Mayor Aguirre noted all the events that took place this weekend and she gave credit to <br /> Mr. Chris Beth does a great job supporting these. She also noted that this weekend <br /> there were multiple events. <br /> Council Member Seybert said he went to the Mount Carmel anniversary and that was a <br /> great event. Mayor Aguirre noted that the day of the Dead took place at the Downtown <br /> Library, and this event too exceeded the expectations. <br /> 9.
