g. "Laundry Cart": A basket which is mounted on wheels and used in a coin- <br />operated laundry or dry-cleaning retail establishment by a customer or an <br />attendant for the purpose of transporting fabrics and the supplies necessary to <br />process them. <br /> <br />h. "Ordinance": Article VIII (Abatement of Abandoned Shopping Carts) <br />[commencing with §14.115] of Chapter 14 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City, as said Article exists upon the date hereof and may from time to time be <br />amended, revised, or superceded. <br /> <br />i. "Participating Owner": Hereinabove defined. <br /> <br />j. "Participating Owner's Premises": The real property located at 200 Woodside <br />Plaza Cir., Redwood City, California, including the entire area owned and utilized <br />by Participating Owner's business establishment, also including any parking lot or <br />other off-street area provided by or for Participating Owner. <br /> <br />k. "Retrieval Service Agreement": The agreement(s) between City and City's <br />Contractor(s) for the retrieval of Abandoned Shopping Carts, including the initial <br />such agreement effective upon the effective date of this agreement, and any and <br />all succeeding such agreements in effect during the term hereof and any <br />extension of said term. <br /> <br />l. "Service Area": All streets (including sidewalks, parking strips, median strips, and <br />extensions of street easements to abutting property lines), walkways, roads, <br />paths, other City-owned or used easements, City-owned lands and <br />appurtenances, and the outdoor common area of any building, business <br />premises, apartment building or complex, or other premises or portion thereof <br />which is adjacent to public property, and open to the public, within the corporate <br />limits of City and subject to the election of a Participating Owner, all streets <br />(including sidewalks, parking strips, median strips, and extensions of street <br />easements to abutting property lines), watkways, roads, paths, other publicly- <br />owned or used easements, publicly-owned lands and appurtenances, and the <br />outdoor common area of any building, business premises, apartment building or <br />complex, or other premises or portion thereof which is adjacent to public property, <br />and open to the public as shown on Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto, and <br />incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />m. "Shopping Cart": A basket which is mounted on wheels or a similar device <br /> generally used in a retail establishment by a customer for the purpose of <br /> transporting goods of any kind, including a Laundry Cart. <br /> <br />n. "Shopping Cart Retrieval Program": City's program for the retrieval of Abandoned <br /> Shopping Carts under which Participating Owners contract with City for Shopping <br /> Cart retrieval services and City, in turn, contracts with an enterprise in the <br /> business of Shopping Cart retrieval, the costs of which are borne by the <br /> Participating Owner. <br /> <br />F:Atty2001Shared/Redwood/Council/Agmt/Agmt-519 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
