Agreement for Business License Compliance Services <br /> Council Member Hartnett stated that he had questions on the item and that the <br /> assumption is that there is a number of businesses who should, but do not have a <br /> business license and are not paying the tax. The staff recommendation is to <br /> contract rather than use City staff to do the work necessary to address the <br /> situation. Questions about the fee structure were asked of the Financial Services <br /> Director and the representative from MBIA MuniServices Company. <br /> Council made comments and asked for analysis of the fee structure relative to the <br /> proposed 45% across the board. <br /> M/S Foust/Hartnett to continue this topic to a future Council meeting. The motion <br /> passed by a unanimous voice vote. MINUTE ORDER 04-29 <br /> M/S Ruskin/Pierce to adjourn the Redevelopment Agency meeting. The motion passed <br /> by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> 7. STAFF REPORTS <br /> A. Informational Report on the Parking Management Plan for the Scott Peterson Trial <br /> Police Captain Warner summarized with a PowerPoint presentation the parking <br /> challenges faced in hosting the trial with a more in depth report scheduled for <br /> February 23. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Information-only.
