6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR
Alan Home stated that seven years ago he had purchased a home in the Friendly
Acres neighborhood where the previous owners had converted ~he garage to a
storage room. Last week, Mr. Home received a message from the Cit/ stating that he
would be forced to convert the room back to a garage. He stated that ~he problem is
the garages are too small for the vehicles and he would be required to spend money
to take his house back rather than go forward to make his house more useless. He
asked that the building codes requiring one mandatory covered parking space for
small houses made before 1960, be changed to require one uncovered parking
space.
M/S Howard/Ruskin to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances
by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.
