(Kleinfelder) has reviewed our above-referenced geotechnical <br /> reports in order to provide an update for the proposed gasoline station expansion at <br /> Costco Wholesale Warehouse No. 1042 located at 2300 Middlefield Road in <br /> Redwood City, California. We understand that Costco plans to add two refueling <br /> islands to the existing gasoline station and extend the existing canopy to the <br /> northeast (project east). This addendum provides updated/supplemental grading, site <br /> drainage, and seismic design parameters for design and construction of the subject <br /> project. The remaining conclusions and recommendations presented in our October <br /> 26, 2006 geotechnical report, which references our November 15, 2004 report, <br /> remain applicable to the project. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Grading <br /> The new refueling islands and canopy will be constructed to the northeast in an area <br /> that is mostly landscaped. In addition, new pavements will be constructed.
