6.1.H. - Page 5 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> AMENDMENT#1 <br /> SECTION 1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The Project consists of selective demolition of existing offices located in the City <br /> Manager's area and constructing new offices for City Manager's support staff, City <br /> Attorneys, Community Development Director and IT to improve security and enhance <br /> operational requirements on the second and first floors at Redwood City Ha11,1017 <br /> Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California (the "Project Site"), pursuant to the Original <br /> Agreement, re-designed the City of Redwood City's City Manager, City Attorney and <br /> Community Development Director Office areas to incorporate changes in security and <br /> operational requirements, finalizing three (3) space planning studies #1,2,3. After CITY <br /> selection of two main schemes, CONSULTANT provided two Programming Phase cost <br /> estimates for the two main schemes identified as #1 and #2 with a deduct for Scheme <br /> #1 B (Community Development Director Office). <br /> Pursuant to this Amendment No. 1, CONSULTANT shall provide to CITY architectural <br /> services for Design Development through Construction Documents, to Bid Support <br /> based on the CITY approved conceptual design schemes dated September 26, 2012, <br /> all as more specifically set out below. <br /> SECTION 2. GENERAL. <br /> A. The performance of all services by CONSULTANT shall be to the satisfaction of <br /> the CITY. <br /> B. All of the services to be furnished by CONSULTANT under this AGREEMENT <br /> shall be of the professional standard and quality which prevail among <br /> architectural consultants of similar knowledge and skill engaged in related work <br /> throughout California under the same or similar circumstances. All <br /> documentation prepared under this AGREEMENT shall meet federal, state and <br /> local building code requirements at the time the documentation is issued. <br /> C. CONSULTANT's compensation for all Basic Services, and through all Section 2 <br /> services, shall include CONSULTANT's revisions to the Construction Documents <br /> as needed to correct errors and omissions. <br /> D. CONSULTANT shall manage the design and construction document process <br /> under the direction of the CITY's Community Development Project Manager. All <br /> comments and responses to comments shall be coordinated through the CITY. <br /> CONSULTANT shall not make any design changes based on comments without <br /> written authorization by CITY. When specifically directed by CITY, or as <br /> specifically required in this AGREEMENT in Section 2, Task 1, CONSULTANT <br /> shall coordinate its services with CITY <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012/AMENDMENTS/AMEND N0.1 NBBJ <br /> REV:01-09-13 VR <br />
