7.A. - Page 170 Pete's Harbor <br /> ���y�� neuvv��u�.iiy EIR Addendum <br /> October 8, 2012 Page 3-5 <br /> Similar to the Pete's Harbor component of the 2003 EIR, the current Pete's Harbor project <br /> would provide public on-site amenities, including walkways and bike paths, gazebos, picnic <br /> areas, public plazas, outdoor art, overlooks, bike racks, and a new public water edge esplanade <br /> on the west and north perimeter of the site. The Bay Conservation and Development <br /> Commission (BCDC) has jurisdiction over a 100-foot band inland of and parallel with the San <br /> Francisco Bay shoreline, which in this case includes the western and northern edges of the <br /> project site; BCDC jurisdiction typically results in public access improvements to shoreline <br /> areas. Also, the Pete's Harbor public trails would connect with those of the One Marina project <br /> (the Peninsula Marina component of the 2003 Marina Shores Village project), which is under <br /> construction. <br /> The water demand for the current Pete's Harbor project has been accounted for in the City's <br /> 2010 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) (see section 3.7 of this Addendum). In addition, <br /> the One Marina project will provide the adequate transit links (see section 3.4 of this <br /> Addendum), sufficient retail provisions, and adequate below market rate housing for both One <br /> Marina and Pete's Harbor, as evaluated and concluded by City staff. Therefore, Impact 4-3 <br /> would no longer apply to the currently proposed project because the One Marina project and the <br /> current Pete's Harbor project collectively would incorporate the identified smart growth <br /> provisions. <br /> Conclusion. The impact would not occur. The mitigations identified in the 2003 EIR for Impact <br /> 4-3 are not required. <br /> Other Impacts. The certified 2003 EIR determined that the previous Marina Shores Village <br /> project would have less-than-significant impacts associated with the loss of local marina slips <br /> and cumulative land use conditions.
