Modified impact and mitigation. The impact and mitigation identified in the 2003 <br /> EIR for Impact 5-6 remain applicable to the current Pete's Harbor project, and the mitigation <br /> remains sufficient to reduce this impact to a less-than-significant level. In addition, the <br /> mitigation has been modified as follows: (1) 2003 EIR references to the Peninsula Marina <br /> property are no longer applicable and have been removed, and (2) other text changes have <br /> been made consistent with the current Pete's Harbor project design (e.g., there are no longer <br /> any "residential towers"). City staff and the project applicant are continuing to refine the project <br /> architectural and landscape design details to implement this mitigation. <br /> Impact 5-7 Analysis: Internal Visual Relationships of Project Development to Electrical <br /> Transmission Lines. The 2003 EIR indicated that the closest project residences could be <br /> adversely impacted by views of the existing nearby PG&E transmission lines and towers. The <br /> associated mitigation included minimum building setbacks from the PG&E easement, public <br /> disclosure of these relationships in sales materials, and strategic on-site landscaping. <br /> As discussed in section 3.1 (Land Use) of this Addendum under Impact 4-1 (Project <br /> Relationships to Existing Overhead Electrical Transmission Lines), this impact no longer applies <br /> to the currently proposed Pete's Harbor project because: (1) the Peninsula Marina/Peninsula <br /> Park/One Marina component is no longer part of the project, and (2) none of the Pete's Harbor <br /> buildings would be located within 200 feet of the transmission lines. <br /> Conclusion. Mitigation 5-7 is no longer required.
