Responses from three <br /> (3) well-qualified consulting firms were received: V&A Consulting Engineers, Inc. <br /> Corrpro Companies, Inc. and JDH Corrosion Consultants, Inc. Proposals were <br /> reviewed through a qualification-based selection process conducted by staff in <br /> compliance with state procurement regulations. The proposals were evaluated based <br /> on the firm's qualifications and criteria that included demonstrating understanding of the <br /> project scope, prior experience on similar projects, project management abilities, and <br /> level of effort and schedule. <br /> JDH Corrosion Consultants, Inc. received the highest score and is recommended by <br /> staff for this project. Subsequent to good faith negotiations, JDH Corrosion <br /> Consultants, Inc. proposes to perform the scope of work for $125,970. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may choose not to approve the proposed agreement with JDH Consultants, <br /> Inc., and direct staff to find alternate means of completing the work, or modify the scope <br /> of work, or select other consultants. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Funds for this project were partially and previously appropriated as Cathodic Protection <br /> Program. This program has an available balance of $71,148.21 as of December 31, <br /> 2012.
