9.A - Page 4 <br /> Streets to consider for Pedestrian Enhanced Design (PED) <br /> The General Plan' identifies the following streets to evaluate for implementing PEDs <br /> that provide multi-modal amenities within the public right-of-way by reducing the number <br /> and/or width of travel lanes: <br /> • Veterans Boulevard (from 6 lanes to 4 lanes east of Brewster Avenue) <br /> COMPLETED <br /> • Middlefield Road east of Woodside Road (from 4 or 5 lanes to 3 lanes) <br /> • Jefferson Avenue <br /> o between Hudson Street and Alameda de las Pulgas (from 4 lanes to 3 <br /> lanes), <br /> o between Marshall Street and Veterans Boulevard (from 4 lanes to 3 <br /> lanes), and <br /> o potentially between Hudson Street and Clinton Street if traffic signals on EI <br /> Camino Real can be appropriately timed to accommodate it. <br /> • Broadway between Maple Street and a quarter-mile east of Douglas Avenue— <br /> where Broadway already provides a three lane cross-section (from 4 lanes to 3 <br /> lanes) COMPLETED BETWEEN MAPLE AND WOODSIDE <br /> • Brewster Avenue between EI Camino Real and Elwood Street (from 4 lanes to 3 <br /> lanes) <br /> • Farm Hill Boulevard (from 4 lanes to 3 or 2 lanes) <br /> 1 Program BE-57 in the 2010 Redwood City General Plan, Built Environment Element (page BE- 149). <br />
