6.1.F. - Page 4 <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> AND <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , 20_, by <br /> and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, hereinafter called "County," and CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY hereinafter called "Contractor'. Collectively, County and Contractor are <br /> hereinafter referred to as the "Parties." <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District ("District") is the owner of certain real <br /> property, known as Fair Oaks Elementary School, located at 2950 Fair Oaks Avenue, <br /> Unincorporated Redwood City ("Properfy"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the District, County, and Contractor have determined that the synthetic <br /> turf playfield ("Playfield") located on the Properfy has a mutual benefit for all Parfies <br /> because the Playfield is maintained and used for school activities during school hours and <br /> for community-wide recreational use during off-school hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties desire to cooperate to fund the replacement of the Playfield <br /> ("Project") and have it maintained after replacement for use by the District and Parties; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Project is estimated to cost $575,000 to complete, including <br /> architectural services and contingencies; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 8, 2012, the County Board of Supervisors approved the FY 2012-13 <br /> CDBG/ESG/ HOME Action Plan, which included funding for the Project directly through an <br /> authorized subsequent Off-Cycle NOFA process; and <br /> WHEREAS, a total of $575,000 has been committed to the Project as follows: the <br /> Redwood City Council approved $300,000 for the Project; the County is contributing $75,000 <br /> from a San Mateo County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG); and the District <br /> approved $200,000 for the Project from its capital improvement budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parties desire to enter into this Agreement for the purposes of <br /> memorializing the County's $75,000 financial contribution toward the Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br /> contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> 1.
