SA-12-12 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING THE GRANT OF, AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT DEEDS AND CERTIFICATES <br /> OF ACCEPTANCE FOR, REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, on or about March 7, 2011, the Redwood City Redevelopment <br /> Agency ("RDA") transferred three parcels ("Parcels") identified in Exhibits A, B and C to <br /> the City of Redwood City ("City") in order to protect its Redevelopment activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the 2011-12 State budget bill, AB 1X 26 ("Dissolution Act") <br /> was enacted, dissolving all redevelopment agencies statewide; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Dissolution Act provides that asset transfer occurring between <br /> redevelopment agencies and other public bodies after January 1, 2011 are not valid; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has opted to voluntarily rewind the transfers of the Parcels <br /> and grant the Parcels to the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment <br /> Agency for processing consistent with the Dissolution Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is still interested in maintaining ownership of the Library <br /> Parking Facility and understands it will have an opportunity at a later time to request <br /> such transfer of ownership of this Parcel from the Successor Agency pursuant to Health <br /> and Safety Code Sections 34181 and 34191.1 et seq. (Post compliance Provisions); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the Successor Agency is willing to accept the Parcels. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of the Successor Agency <br /> to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency hereby approves and authorizes the <br /> Executive Director to execute the Grant Deeds and associated Certificates of <br /> Acceptance attached hereto as Exhibits A, B, and C, subject to any minor conforming, <br /> technical or clarifying changes approved by the Agency Counsel, and to execute such <br /> additional documents and take such further actions or steps as are necessary to <br /> consummate the transaction. <br /> * * * <br /> ATTY/RES0.2802/SA AUTHORIZING GRANT DEEDS FROM CITY RESO.#SA 12-12 <br /> REV:11-OS-12 VR MUFF#608 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
