SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: <br /> Redwood City IT will act as a consult to provide project management, design, implementation, and <br /> training services for the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure in Burlingame's main library. Following is the list <br /> of services. <br /> Project management <br /> 1. Provide complete supervision of the project, start to finish. <br /> 2. Develop implementation and delivery timelines and present to City staff. <br /> Design <br /> 1. Research the various platforms of virtual desktop technologies and present them with advantages, <br /> disadvantages, and recommendations. <br /> 2. Design the server infrastructure based upon final recommendations and specifications. <br /> 3. Work with hardware vendors to create a quotes package and present it to City staff for final approval. <br /> Implementation <br /> 1. Work with Peninsula Library System (PLS) network engineers to extend the PLS nefinrork to the City <br /> Hall. <br /> 2. Install the server infrastructure in the City Hall data center and configure it. Perform load tests on the <br /> hardware and certify it for production. <br /> 3. Implement domain controller servers, VMware components and modules on the server hardware, <br /> create users accounts and implement group policies that will control the user logins. <br /> 4. Work with Burlingame Library staff to create a gold image of desktops that will be cloned on the thin <br /> clients. Test the image on five (5)thin clients. Refine the gold image and group policies and receive <br /> final certification from the Burlingame Library staff. <br /> 5. Implement the thin clients at locations provided by Burlingame staff. Burlingame staff will also hetp in <br /> the deployments. <br /> 6. Further refine the deployments based upon the feedback from Burlingame Library staff. <br /> Training <br /> 1. Provide an overview of the architecture and setup of the server infrastructure. Provide training to <br /> manage various modules and components of the server infrastructure. <br /> 2.
