Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities, Stanford University T AGREEMENT��made and entered into as of the (J da of � Y , 20�by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipa corpora n of the State of California ("City"), serving as fiscal agent for Redwood C' 2020 and The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University, a non-profit educational institution, through its John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities, ("Stanford University") (collectively, the "Parties"). RECITALS A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services required by Redwood City 2020. C. Redwood City 2020 requires the professional services of a consultant experienced in evaluation. D. Consultant has the necessary experience in providing professional services and advice. E. Selection of Consultant is expected to achieve the desired results in an expedited fashion. F. Consultant has submitted a proposal to Redwood City 2020 and has affirmed its willingness and ability to perform such work. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: 1. Scope of Work. City retains Consultant to perform, and Consultant agrees to render, those services (the "Services") that are defined in attached Exhibit "A," which is incorporated herein by reference.
