Potential trainings include: <br /> Fall Quarter: Moving from Data to Action (Oct.-Dec 2012) <br /> Winter Quarter:Action Planning: Institutional Policy Change(Jan-March 2013) <br /> Spring Quarter:TBD (April-June 2013) <br /> A minimum of 3 FNL Chapters will be recipients,attending each session of the training series with <br /> 15-20 youth and adults in attendance including: <br /> -Sequoia Teen Resource Center:YAB - Redwood High: REAL <br /> -Sequoia Teen Resource Center: Peaceful Intervention -EI Centro:YAB <br /> -Sequoia Teen Resource Center: Healthy Sequoia -Menlo Atherton High <br /> • Administer Friday Night Live Youth Development Survey as evaluation measure (March <br /> 2013)and create aggregate regional outcomes report <br /> • Provide monthly on-site TA to local chapters for project success. Examples of Technical <br /> Assistance may be: Phone consultations for youth-led project troubleshooting, Follow-up on <br /> portion of research project or action project development, or coaching in train the trainers style <br /> support for adult capacity building to support youth programs and projects. <br /> Training and TA for data-driven Environmental Prevention Project Partnership with Sequoia <br /> Teen Resource Center:YAB <br /> 1. Specialized trainings to Sequoia Teen Resource Center:YAB and Starvista staff to continue <br /> their TRACE project and launch either a community education or merchant education campaign <br /> with. (October—December 2012) <br /> 2. Campaign development <br /> A) YLI will take the lead in developing training series to guide and support Sequoia TRC:YAB <br /> to implement the Parent/Family Education campaign:this includes positive social norms or social <br /> marketing campaign capacity building separate from the FNL regional training series.This may <br /> include:Advanced Environmental Strategies,meeting with merchants,social marketing 101, <br /> public policy 101, and community organizing trainings. (August 2012-May 2013) <br /> B) YLI staff will provide 2 consultations for intensive adult capacity building(in person or over <br /> the phone)to Starvista staff per month to guarantee project success. (monthly) <br /> YLI will co-facilitate Retail Workgroup to address reducing youth access to alcohol in the retail <br /> environment and changing merchant/cultural norms though: <br /> 1. Co-Facilitate monthly workgroup meetings and additional ad hoc meeting outside of <br /> Prevention Partnership Steering Committee meetings. <br /> 2.
