E. Construction area shali be left in a clean, neat, and workmanlike condition. Ali construction <br /> waste, rubbish, and debris remaining upon completion of the work shall become the property of <br /> the Contractor unless otherwise specified herein or noted on the plans and shall be removed <br /> from the work-site by the Contractor and disposed of off-site in a lawful manner to the <br /> satisfaction of the City Engineer. <br /> F. Comply and conform to conditions and requirements indicated herein and specified under ail <br /> other sections of these Specifications. <br /> �.06 MAINTAINING EXISTING AND TEMPORARY ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS <br /> A. Traffic signai and street lighting system shutdowns shall be limited to periods between the hours <br /> of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. <br /> B. Existing street lighting and signal communication systems shall be maintained during <br /> construction operations. Maintain existing safety lighting on streets to the minimum required by <br /> the Special Provisions, or as required by the City Engineer. Maintenance of existing street light <br /> and traffic signal systems shall be considered as included in the contract lump sum prices for <br /> the work item involved and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> C. The contractor shali place "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic <br /> through the intersection during traffic signal system shutdown. Temporary "Stop Ahead" and <br /> "Stop" signs shall be either covered or removed when the system is turned on. <br /> D. "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" signs shall be furnished by the contractor and shall conform to the <br /> provisions in the California MUTCD and Section 12-3.06, "Construction Area Signs", of the <br /> Standard Specifications, except that the base material for the signs shall not be plywood. <br /> E. One "Stop Ahead" sign and two "Stop" signs shall be placed for each direction of traffic. <br /> Location of the signs shall be as directed by the City Engineer. <br /> F. Full compensation for furnishing, installing, maintaining and removing temporary "Stop Ahead" <br /> and "Stop" signs and for covering signs not in use shall be considered as included in the <br /> contract lump sum price paid for the work item involved and no additional compensation will be <br /> allowed therefore. <br /> PART 2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE <br /> A. Concrete shall be Class "A" conforming to the requirements of Section 02550 of these <br /> Specifications. <br /> B. Portland Cement Concrete for foundations shall conform to Section 90-10, "Minor Concrete", of <br /> � the Standard Specifications and shall contain not less than 470 pounds of cement per cubic <br /> yard, except concrete for reinforced pile foundations shall contain not less than 564 pounds of <br /> cement per cubic yard. <br /> C. Hand mixing of concrete shall not be permitted. <br /> 2.02 PAINTING <br /> A. Painting shall conform to the provisions of Section 86-2.16 "Painting" of the Standard <br /> Specifications, and these provisions. <br /> B. All electroliers, standards, pedestals, posts, cabinets, and luminaire housings shall be coated <br /> with two part recoatable epoxy primer and two coats of Hi-solids polyurethane paint, Sherman <br /> Williams color RWC 6687 or approved equal: <br /> Epoxy primer: Part A: B67R5 <br /> Part B: B67V5 <br /> Hi-solids polyurethane: B65T304 <br /> Hardener: B60V30 <br /> SIGNALS, LIGHTING,AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS <br /> EAST BAYSHRORE ROAD STREET LIGHTING PROJECT 16500-3 <br />
