Consistent with S'fate <br /> Law Section 65402 (a) the Gounty is rec�uesting fhat fhe City issue a �inding that the <br /> acquisitions of the properfy by the Counfy for fhe intended purposes conforms to <br /> Redwood City's Generaf F';an. The City musf aEso consid�r Generai Plan canformance <br /> pursuant to Streets ar�d Highways Code, Part 3 (Pubiic Streefs, Highways and Service <br /> Easement Vacation �aw); and <br /> WHEREAS, At a duly naticed hearing on December 7, 2011; the Planning <br /> Commission revievred its Ge�rera! Plan and finds thaf the scquisifions and use cf <br /> property and Righf of Way for a potential {uture Gounry�aii and auxifiary jail uses are ;n <br /> canformance wi#h its General P{an ar}d appropriate findings were made in the staf� <br /> report dat�,�ti December 7, 2011. Relevant Caneraf Pian policies include: <br /> 1. Poficy PS-11.1: Wark with fhe Police Department to determine and meet <br /> community neecls for faw�nforcement services; <br /> 2_ Policy �E-24.1: Ensure that change and devefopment occur in a fashion fhat <br /> enhances and blends for Ret�v�ood Ciiy's establisheci sociaf fabric, natural <br /> environment, and built environment; <br /> 3. Policy 8�-24.4: Consult with ofher agencies fo address common regional issues <br /> and appotfunities retated to grawth; transportation, inPrastructure, and oiher <br /> �lanning issues. <br /> Y�IHER��lS, the subject parcef has a Genersl PEah Land Use designati�n of <br /> tndustrial — Light wnich permits (ow infensity industrial uses which do not invalve <br /> substanfial truck tra�c flr outcioor fabrication or assembly, do not produce odors or <br /> significant nuisar�ces.
