License or Certificate: Requirement to obtain California Department of Public Health's Water Distribution Operator Grade 4 Certificate. Certification must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of employment with the City. Experience and Traininq Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible management experience in positions in public works, utility operations and maintenance, or related field. Traininq: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, management, or a related field.
