Prepare written and oral reports and supervise the preparation and <br /> maintenance of a variety of records and reports. <br /> 10. Select, supervise, train, and evaluate subordinates, including the equitable <br /> execution of the disciplinary procedures. <br /> 11. Develop and coordinate supervisory and technical training and development <br /> programs. <br /> 12. Develop, coordinate, implement, and manage an ongoing Health, Safety, <br /> and Wellness program. <br /> 13. In conjunction with the Human Resources Department, Community <br /> Development Department, and the City Attorney's Office, ensure that the <br /> City is in continuing compliance with applicable Federal, State and County <br /> laws and regulations. <br /> 14. Plan, schedule, prepare, supervise, and monitor the budget for assigned <br /> function. <br /> ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br /> Fleet and Facilities <br /> 15. Through subordinates, direct staff of skilled and semi-skilled personnel in <br /> the maintenance and repair of automotive and heavy equipment, custodial <br /> services, and facilities maintenance. <br /> 16. Evaluate operations and develop programs to implement orderly <br /> maintenance and storage of City equipment, materials, tools and vehicles. <br /> 17. Assign vehicles to operating programs, analyze level of usage and <br /> appropriate fleet size, develop efficient methods of equipment utilization, <br /> and manage rents and leases of vehicles and equipment. <br /> 18. Supervise projects in the upgrading and maintenance of facilities. <br /> 19. Establish maintenance and work standards. <br /> 20. Review operational records, mileage and maintenance records, and <br /> evaluate equipment. <br /> 21. Determine the need for materials, supplies, and equipment and prepare <br /> specifications as necessary. <br /> 22.
