The responsible review authoritv mav approve an exception to the <br /> maximum height requirement to accommodate a roof, if all of the following findings can be <br /> made: <br /> 1. Compatible. Such height exception will be compatible with surroundin� properties, <br /> uses, and nei�hborhood; <br /> 2. Number of stories. Such hei�ht exception will not exceed the allowable number of <br /> stories permitted pursuant to re�ulations in Table 55-3; and <br /> 3. Necessarv. The roof is limited to the hei�ht necessarv for its proper functionin� or to be <br /> consistent with a particular architectural stvle. <br /> 54.8 Fatade Composition and Architectural Regulations <br /> A. Building Orientation and Entrances. <br /> 1. Nonresidential Entrances. Street-facing primary entrances shall be unlocked and <br /> accessible to the public durin� business hours. Entries shall be clearly defined features <br /> of front faGades and of a scale that is in proportion to the size of the building and <br /> number of units being accessed• lar�er buildings shall have a more prominent buildin� <br /> entrance, while maintainin� a pedestrian scale. <br /> B.
