Each live/work unit shall be separated from <br /> other units and other uses in the building. Access to each unRt shall be pro►►ided from <br /> shop fronts, directfy from the street fram comman access areas, cflrridors, or hafls. <br /> The access to each �nit shall be clearly separate from other lirre/work units or other <br /> uses within the building. Living space shall be locatec! in the rear graund ler►el or <br /> second flflor and aborre to maintain activity and cammercial access afong the <br /> frontage. <br /> ��i. Facilities to accommodate commercial or industrial acti�ities. A live/work unit shall be <br /> designed to accommodate nonresidential Uses as evidenced by the pro�ision of <br /> �entifation, interior storage, flooring, and other physical impro�ements of the type <br /> cornmonly found in exciusively nonresidential facilities used for the same work <br /> acti�ity. <br /> i�. Integration of living and working space. Areas within a live/work unit that are <br /> designated as li�ing space shall be an integral part of the li►re/work unit and not <br /> separated (or accupied and/or rented separately) from the work space, except that <br /> mezzanines and lofts may be used as living space subject to compliance with the <br /> other provisions of this Section, and IRving and working space may be separated by <br /> interior courtyards or similar private space. <br /> �. Mixed occu�ancy buildings. If a building contains mixed occupancies of lirre/wark units <br /> and other nonresidential uses, occupancies other than li�e/work shall meet all <br /> applicabie requirements for those uses, and praper occupancy separatior�s shall be <br /> pro�ided between the li�e/work units a�d other occupancies, a5 determined by the <br /> Redwood City Building Official. <br /> �i. Parlcing. Each li�e/work unit shall be pro�ided off-street parking as pro�ided in Article <br /> 30: OfF-Street Parking and Loading.
