1.Foster a cross sector coalition and strengthen an iminigrant integration messaging <br /> campaign,through the public launch of the"Redwood City Together"initiarive. This <br /> large-scale community-wide messaging campaign will highlight the strengths and <br /> contributions of immigrants and longer-term residents in the community. <br /> 2. Strengthen the involvement of immigrants and longer term residents in civic <br /> engagement activities by developing a strong cohort of Community Ambassadors that <br /> will communicate the message of the initiative and invite other members of the <br /> community to take action. <br /> 3.Develop a powerful and influential voice of immigrant youth in local and state <br /> advocacy efforts,promoting immigrant youth's access to learning and growth <br /> opportunities as well as their personal pursuit of higher education and meaningful <br /> employment. <br /> Activities: <br /> 1.Expand messaging efforts using outreach materials from the Faces of Our Community <br /> Project,which include online media targeted for the public and low income- <br /> communities. <br /> 2.Recruit a diverse cohort of Community Ambassadors to participate in leadership <br /> development and provide coaching and support as they engage other community <br /> members in civic action. <br /> 3.Continue to engage Redwood City2020 policy makers and institutional leaders by <br /> providing information and policy recommendations based on civic engagement <br /> activities as well as the work of youth and adult volunteers. <br /> 4.Host a community building event that highlights Redwood City 2020's mission to <br /> promote immigrant integration,community building,and leadership development <br /> with partnering organizations. <br /> IL SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> None. <br /> III. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE <br /> Payments will be made on the schedule below if special conditions described above are <br /> met and if narrative and financial reports have been submitted on the dates requested. <br /> Report guidelines and forms are available on the Foundation's website at <br /> www.sff.org/grantseeker/forms.Reminder notices will be sent in the month before the <br /> report is due. If you need to extend the grant period or request changes in the payment <br /> schedule or budget,please request the change in writing,briefly explaining the reason it <br /> is needed. <br /> Please note that payxnents on new grants will not be released until final reports on all <br /> prior grants have been received and approved by your Program Officer. <br /> Pro ess Report Due Dates(if anX): <br /> None. <br /> Payment(s): <br /> $15,000.00 scheduled on April 1,2013 <br /> Final Report: <br /> Standard Final Report due on April 30,2014 <br />
