WHEREAS, the portion of Douglas Avenue being caped sealed and the portion Cerrito <br /> Avenue being slurry sealed lie within both corporate limits of the City and unincorporated San <br /> Mateo County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's areas to be caped and slurry sealed in accordance with this <br /> Agreement are shown on`B�ibit A", attached hereto and incorporated by this reference; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed cape sealing work of a portion of Douglas Avenue and the <br /> slurry sealing work of a portion Cerrito Avenue shall include, but not limited to: mobilization, <br /> maintaining traffic, repairing designated pavement areas, application cape seal, and slurry seal <br /> and other items of work associated with the 2012 Cape and Slurry Seal Project—Ladera, North <br /> Fair Oaks and Sequoia Tract Areas("the Project"). <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The City grants the necessary permission to the County to do work within the City <br /> limits as herein described. <br /> 2. County will include in its contract, for the above-described project, contract items <br /> for the cape sealing of a portion of Douglas Avenue and slurry sealing of a portion of Cerrito <br /> Avenue within the corporate limits of the City of Redwood City. The work shall be completed by <br /> the County's Contractor. <br /> 3. County will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the completion <br /> of this Project. <br /> 4. County agrees to notify City of the successful bidder to whom the construction <br /> contract is to be awarded. <br /> 5. City agrees to reimburse County, on demand, for (a) the actual construction <br /> contract costs (including contract Change Order costs) incurred by County for work on City's <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.058/COST SHARING AGREEMENT FOR CAPE-SLURRY(DOUGLAS-CERRITOS) <br /> REV:07-10-12 VR <br /> Page 2 of 13 <br />
