06/03/2013 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2394 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2180 RELATING TO <br /> REDWOOD SHORES COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 99-1 <br /> (SHORES TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City has previously formed the Redwood <br /> Shores Community Facilities District No. 99-1 (Shores Transportation Improvement <br /> Project) of the City of Redwood City (the "District") under the provisions of the Mello- <br /> Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982, as amended (constituting Section 53311 et <br /> seq. of the California Government Code) (the "Act"). In connection with the formation of <br /> the District and the levy of special taxes therein, on August 23, 1999, the City Council <br /> adopted Ordinance No. 2180, titled "An Ordinance of the Council of Redwood City <br /> Authorizing the Levy of a Special Tax Within Redwood Shores Community Facilities <br /> District No. 99-1 (Shores Transportation Improvement Project) of the City of Redwood <br /> City" ("Ordinance No. 2180"). <br /> Section 2. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2180 is hereby amended in its entirety <br /> to read as follows: "The Director of Finance of the City is hereby authorized and <br /> directed each fiscal year, without further action of this City Council, to determine, or <br /> cause to be determined, the specific special tax rate and amount to be levied for each <br /> parcel of real property within the District, in the manner and as provided in the Rate and <br /> Method of Apportionment attached as Exhibit A to Ordinance No. 2180. The special tax <br /> to be levied shall not exceed the maximum rates set forth in such Exhibit A, but the <br /> special tax may be levied at a lower rate." <br /> Section 3.
