6.1.G. - Page 1 <br /> RE PO RT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cit Mana er <br /> June 24, 2013 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amendment Number 5 to Agreement with Moore, lacofano and Goltsman (MIG) for <br /> Environmental Consulting Services for the Stanford in Redwood City Project <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve Amendment Number 5 with MIG in the amount of $12,235 to complete <br /> preparation of the Stanford in Redwood City Environmental Impact Report (EIR) <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On August 11, 2008, the City executed an agreement with Wagstaff and Associates to <br /> assist staff with the preparation of an EIR for the "Stanford in Redwood City" project. <br /> The original agreement, which included sub-consultant work, was in the amount of <br /> $354,250. Wagstaff and Associates has since merged with MIG and is now referred to <br /> as MIG. Subsequently, the Council has approved four amendments to the Agreement <br /> to address a multitude of unanticipated technical issues that have arisen over the past <br /> five years of study. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> MIG is now requesting a fifth amendment in the amount of $12,235 which brings the <br /> total contract amount to $606,631.08. The amendment will cover costs for work <br /> performed beyond the scope of MIG's contracts, Final EIR printing costs and <br /> attendance at public hearings. <br /> Stanford is aware of the requested amendment to MIG's scope of work. Staff <br /> anticipated that the Stanford Final EIR will be released for public review in early summer <br /> and forthcoming for Council consideration late summer. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Do not authorize execution of Amendment Number 5 to the MIG agreement. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> None. Stanford University would pay for all costs associated with the Amendment. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> An Environmental Impact Report is being prepared for the Stanford in Redwood City <br /> P roj ect. <br />
