6.1.H. - Page 1 <br /> RE PO RT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the Cit Mana er <br /> June 24, 2013 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Amendment Number 6 to Agreement with Bottomley Associates for Urband Design and <br /> Planning Consultant Services for the Stanford in Redwood City Project <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve Amendment Number 6 to Agreement with Bottomley Associates to complete <br /> the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On July 20, 2008, the City executed an agreement with Bottomley Associates for <br /> assistance with the preparation of a Precise Plan for the Stanford in Redwood City <br /> project. The original agreement for $40,120 was executed by the City Manager because <br /> it was under $60,000. <br /> On August 24, 2009, Bottomley Associates requested a $27,030 amendment to their <br /> contract followed by a second amendment in 2010 for $21,550, a third and fourth <br /> amendment in 2011 for $39,074 and $19,274 and a fifth amendment in the amount of <br /> $12,364. <br /> ANALYSIS <br /> Bottomley Associates is now requesting a sixth amendment to their contract in the <br /> amount of $12,970 which will bring the total cost of services to $172,382. The <br /> amendment will cover costs that were unanticipated in the original scope of work <br /> including preparation of additional Precise Plan revisions, screencheck, and finalization <br /> for printing. <br /> Stanford University has agreed to submit additional funds to cover this expense. It is <br /> anticipated that the Final Stanford Precise Plan will be released for public review in <br /> summer and forthcoming for Council consideration in late summer/early fall. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Do not authorize execution of Amendment Number 6 to Agreement with Bottomley <br /> Associates. <br />
